From 11-13 October, 32 golfers with Parkinson’s will tee off on The Belfry’s Brabazon course for two days of friendly competition and fundraising. Four teams will represent the four nations of the UK, and on the final day golfers will be joined by celebrity teammates. Leading the England team will be Cure Parkinson’s patron, Mike Tindall.

Through attending the tournament players will be raising funds for Parkinson’s charities, and the event will culminate in a gala dinner and charity auction.

Raising funds for Cure Parkinson’s and representing England is Dave Andrews who, diagnosed with Parkinson’s aged 48, has set himself the challenge of playing the Great Britain and Ireland top 100 golf courses.

Organiser Charlie Appleyard hopes the event will raise awareness of the benefits for people with Parkinson’s of keeping active, and encourages people to “keep healthy and strong until a cure comes along.”

Cure Parkinson’s is delighted to be a beneficiary of this event.
