Hosted online by the Royal Society of Edinburgh on Friday 15 September, top researchers from Dundee University will discuss the latest Parkinson’s research taking place in Dundee and the real-world impact it will have for people with Parkinson’s in this interesting free webinar.

Around one in every 375 adults live with Parkinson’s in Scotland, with around 30 people diagnosed each week. The current treatments have not changed in over 60 years and only treat the symptoms, not the condition. Scientists and clinicians at the University of Dundee are aiming to change that and are making significant advances in understanding this condition with the assistance of those living with Parkinson’s.

Speakers include Dr Esther Sammler (Clinical Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant at the University of Dundee’s School of Medicine); Professor Miratul Muqit FRSE (Professor of Experimental Neurology at the University of Dundee); and Dr Xingui Liu (Marie Curie fellow).
