Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving, also known as Give As You Earn, is an easy, convenient and tax-effective way to make a regular donation to Cure Parkinson’s, so it costs you less to give more.
With Payroll Giving you can donate to Cure Parkinson’s straight from your gross income, meaning the donation is made before tax is deducted, giving immediate tax relief on your donations. As a result, your contribution costs you less, while we receive the full amount.
For example:
- If you donate £10 per month and you’re a basic-rate taxpayer, it only costs you £8.
- For higher-rate taxpayers, a £10 donation costs just £6.
Regardless of your tax bracket, Cure Parkinson’s still receives the full £10.
Who can donate through Payroll Giving
Anyone who pays UK tax through PAYE (Pay As You Earn) is eligible to donate via Payroll Giving.
How to get started
- Check with your employer: Confirm if your company offers Payroll Giving. If they do, your employer can easily arrange for donations to be deducted from your salary.
- Employer not registered? If your company doesn’t currently offer Payroll Giving, it’s easy for them to sign up. They simply need to register with an approved Payroll Giving agency.
By choosing Payroll Giving, you make a significant impact with a minimal cost, all while helping to support the fight against Parkinson’s.
If your circumstances change and you wish to modify or cancel your donation, you can do so at any time by notifying your employer. Please note that if you change jobs, your donations will not automatically transfer to your new employer. You’ll need to set up a new Payroll Giving scheme with your new company.
