Andrew Chai

Andrew Chai is a final year PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Prof Tilo Kunath, and graduated from the University of Bath in 2020 in Biochemistry. Andrew’s research project focuses on elucidating the physiological role of alpha synuclein in cortical neurons differentiated from human pluripotent stem cells, as to elucidate if certain cell stress and innate immune stimulations lead to changes in alpha synuclein seen in neurodegeneration.
