Dr Leah Mursaleen

Dr Leah Mursaleen is Head of Clinical Research at Alzheimer’s Research UK. Following her father’s diagnosis with Parkinson’s, she focused her PhD on investigating novel therapeutic approaches for Parkinson’s. From 2014-2023,as part of the research team at Cure Parkinson’s, she worked closely with people living with Parkinson’s, academic researchers, industry, and clinicians to develop and accelerate research focused on slowing, stopping, and reversing Parkinson’s, liaising with other funding bodies and regulatory agencies to understand the hurdles of moving research forward. As a District Councillor for her local area, she strongly believes that collaboration and inclusivity is key to the successful delivery of projects.
