Dr Malcolm Barratt-Johnson

Dr Malcom Barratt-Johnson is the Managing Director and Principal Consultant of PharmaMedic Consultancy. He has over 25 years of experience as a UK and European-based Consultant Pharmaceutical Physician to Industry and Government, specialising in Medical Affairs, Medicinal Product Development and Regulatory Strategy.

Dr Barratt-Johnson also holds a Global Fellowship in Medicines Development (GFMD) awarded by King’s College, London and a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FFPM), part of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, of Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. He has lectured in both Europe and the United States on medicinal development and is a lecturer on the MSc Drug Development and Medical Affairs Courses at King’s College, London and in Medical Device Regulation at Imperial College, London.

Dr Barratt-Johnson has previously worked as an Individual Consultant for the MHRA, including acting as Lead Medical Assessor to the UK Dept of Health’s Clinical Trials Unit. He has worked extensively in senior UK and Global consultancy positions with a number of companies including AstraZeneca, Eisai, Roche, Novartis, MSD, GSK, Celgene and Amgen, in addition to having advisory development roles in the wider biotech and generic pharma sectors. Currently, Dr Barratt-Johnson holds Non-Executive Director positions with NovaBiotics Limited and is Director of MirZyme Therapeutics.
