Dr Maria Doitsidou
Dr Maria Doitsidou is a Chancellor’s Fellow and Group Leader at the Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences, University of Edinburgh. Her research group studies the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative conditions, particularly Parkinson’s. The group focuses on two research areas: investigating neuroprotective biological pathways and understanding the role of gut microbiota on alpha-synuclein aggregation.
