Paul Mayhew-Archer MBE
Paul Mayhew-Archer is a multi-award winning writer, script editor, radio producer and comedian; perhaps best known for his work on the much-loved comedy ‘The Vicar of Dibley’. Since his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2011, Paul has turned his talents towards raising awareness of the condition while doing what he does best – making people laugh. Since becoming a patron in 2020, Paul has been an incredible support to Cure Parkinson’s. He presented our hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal, delighted virtual audiences with his stand-up comedy, voiced our Christmas Appeal video, and even raised funds in an amusing pasta-eating challenge with his young grandson. Needless to say, his grandson won.
