Professor Tom Foltynie

Tom Foltynie is Professor of Neurology in the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences, UCL Institute of Neurology and Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He is chief investigator for a series of trials of exenatide- a potential neurorestorative treatment for Parkinson’s, as well as the lead clinician at UCL for trials of alpha synuclein antibody treatment for Parkinson’s and Oxford Biomedica/Axovant’s gene therapy product for Parkinson’s, and the Transeuro Parkinson’s cell transplantation programme.

Cure Parkinson’s has worked closely with Professor Foltynie over many years and he was awarded the Tom Isaacs Award in 2017; he sits on both our Research Committee and our International Linked Clinical Trials committee.
