40 golfers with Parkinson’s (and a further 40 VIP guests) took part in the two-day golfing event.

The tournament was held at The Belfry Hotel in Royal Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 October, with teams representing England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

40 golfers, all with Parkinson’s, teed off on day-one at the Belfry’s Brabazon golf course to play 10 matches, with Team Ireland in the lead with 75 points.

On day-two, the golfers were joined by a further 40 VIP players to play the final 20 matches, and Team Ireland kept their winning streak going and won the tournament!

Sport Parkinson’s also ran a silent auction online in the build-up to the event, as well as a live auction at The Belfry on Wednesday 12 October – raising over £70,000 in total!

Cure Parkinson’s is hugely grateful to be the beneficiary of this wonderful event, and would like to thank the Sport Parkinson’s team for all the incredible work they do.
