Cure Parkinson’s is funding Professor Oliver Bandmann at the University of Sheffield to establish a nationwide infrastructure for a study group focused specifically on conducting clinical trials for Parkinson’s.

The US, France and Germany use these study groups to great effect conducting ground-breaking trials as well as providing an important training role in clinical trials for the research community. The aim of the UK Parkinson’s Clinical Study Group (UK PD-CSG) is to ensure UK neurologists are connected effectively with their research colleagues and to recruit participants more efficiently to clinical trials.
